Cala Conta has fabulous views of the islands dotted around the coastline here and beautiful turquoise waters, making it one of the best beaches on the island.
There are two stretches of sand, one back by a rocky coastline, the other by sand dunes. A third, small cove, used by naturists, is at the far end and reached by steps hewn into the rock. There's no shade so take cover-ups. The shallow water is safe for children, whilst the more experienced swimmers can aim for the island offshore.
The views from the beach in summer take in the amazing sunsets - so book yourself a table at one of the restaurants and enjoy one of natures greatest spectacles!
In the high season the beach is very popular, so come either in the early morning or later in the afternoon. Near by San Antonio Bay offer many different hotel option too choose from.
Facilities: The two main beaches are seperated by a beach restaurant with fabulous views - in the evenings various DJs play to the spectacular sunsets. The public toilets are also situated here (to the side).
Further round on the right-hand side are 3 restaurants which are easily reached by foot.
Getting there: Reached by car, bus or ferry in the summer months. The ferry departs regularly from San Antonio harbour and various hotels along the Bay. The bus can be caught at the bus station in San Antonio or along the bay road. Parking is good, but can get crowded in high summer.
The closest resorts to Cala Conta beach are San Antonio bay and San Antonio, buses and ferries operate from both areas.
